The year was 2008 and I was just known as that girl who always had her camera since elementary school and posted her personal photo work on Myspace/Flickr. Jenna was my co-worker at Plato’s Closet, a job I got right after high school and Jenna was beginning her senior year. She was the first person to ever hire me in a paid shoot and I was so nervous to photograph her senior photos. She was an amazing first client and we went on to become friends while working together for the next few years. We even went on a trip we won at work where she graciously tried to teach me to snowboard in Keystone, CO but alas, I was just not a snowboarder (forever grateful for her patience in me, lol).
It’s crazy to me that a decade later I was going to photograph her unreal and gorgeous wedding day in Tucson, Arizona. I’m forever thankful to Jenna for giving me both opportunities and meeting the kind and sweet Jesse let me know this wedding was one for the books. Stardance Event Center is tucked away near Sombrero Peak and as the warm desert sun set, Burrito the Burro from Haul N Ass Productions gave away cervezas in the cutest way possible. I love the possibility of getting to photograph weddings in the spring here again since in WY or CO it’s still too cold so I hope I get to photograph more Arizona weddings!
