Rocky Mountain National Park Elopement Film
Melissa and Thomas planned their elopement at Rocky Mountain National Park within 1 week and I was so happy I was available. As the day approached, I noticed the day would be colder than usual but I knew it wasn’t a bad thing. I had photographed a wedding in Estes Park nearby on a day that broke Colorado snowfall records so I knew that colder, overcast weather does something magic to the air. As we headed towards their ceremony spot, I noticed something incredible – there was almost no wind. And this park felt like it was all to ourselves. I love filming elopements so damn much and fingers crossed I get to film more. This is one of my favorite recent things I’ve made and getting that freedom to direct and create something ethereal in the snow is a dream come true.
